iHARP's Sahara Ali Presents at AMS!

Join iHARP in congratulating Sahara!

iHARP's Sahara Ali, UMBC PhD, candidate, presented her paper "Estimating Causal Effects of Greenland Blocking on Arctic Sea Ice Melt using Deep Learning Technique" at American Meterological Society's 23rd Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Environmental Science 2024 on January 31, 2024. 

While at the conference Sahara represented iHARP by volunteering at the AMS Open Science and Data help desk which was a designated place to discuss specific topics such as Earth AI and Data Science. Sahara's data reference topic was "Big Data Analytics/Climate Informatics" were showcased some of iHARP's research and bodies of work. We congratulate Sahara for representing and presenting at AMS to share her research and knowledge on data science, polar science, and data analysis!
