2025 All Hands Meeting

In 2025, the iHARP All Hands Meeting was held in two parts to maximize accessibility and collaboration.

Part One: Virtual  Session(June 10)

The virtual gathering focused on site-specific reporting of iHARP’s scientific outcomes and activities. The agenda featured presentations from the inaugural cohort of Polar Informatics Graduate and Visiting Research Fellows, as well as Synergy Incentive Program (SIP) recipients. The session concluded by highlighting iHARP’s extensive community outreach, including the ACM SIGSPATIAL 2023 Workshop, the pioneering Full-Circle Communication Workshop, the HDR Machine Learning Challenge, and K-12 initiatives. Looking forward, the team previewed the 1st ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on Polar Data Science (PolDS 2025), scheduled for November 3 in Minneapolis.

Part Two: In-Person (November 2)

To complement the virtual discussions, iHARP hosted an in-person event in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Held over dinner, the evening featured a fluid structure designed to foster deeper professional connections. The event kicked off with an icebreaker to encourage personable interactions, allowing members to bond beyond their technical research.
